  • Employer Identification Number (EIN) — collected when you engage our application service
  • Any additional information you share with us when responding to our emails or communications

Information we collect automatically:

  • Website usage data (pages visited, time on site) via Google Analytics
  • Email engagement data (whether you opened or clicked an email) via our email provider

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Generate your personalized grant report
  • Research and identify grant programs your business may qualify for
  • Prepare and submit grant applications on your behalf
  • Verify grant award decisions via public databases (USASpending.gov, SAM.gov, state registries)
  • Communicate application status updates and award notifications
  • Process fee payments when a grant award is received
  • Improve our services and understand how our website is used

3. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share your information only in the following circumstances:

  • Grant awarding agencies — when submitting applications on your behalf, we share your business information with the relevant grant programs
  • Stripe — our payment processor, used to collect the 10% success fee when a grant is awarded. Stripe handles all payment card data and is PCI-compliant. We do not store card details
  • Resend — our email delivery provider, used to send you reports, application updates, and notifications
  • Supabase — our database provider, where your business and application data is stored securely
  • Legal requirements — if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights of Granta Business

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill our obligations under our Terms of Service — including the 24-month fee window following any application submission. After that period, you may request deletion of your data by contacting us.

5. Analytics & Cookies

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website. Google Analytics collects data such as pages visited, time on site, and general location (city/region level). This data is aggregated and anonymized; it does not identify you personally.

Google Analytics uses cookies — small text files stored in your browser — to collect this data. You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal information we hold about you
  • Request correction of inaccurate information
  • Request deletion of your information (subject to any legal retention requirements)
  • Opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking “unsubscribe” in any email we send

7. State Privacy Rights

In the event of a data breach that is reasonably likely to result in harm to you, we will notify you by email at the address you provided as soon as practicable and in accordance with applicable law.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
